{"id":79316,"date":"2023-03-01T11:41:12","date_gmt":"2023-03-01T15:41:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.carilec.org\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=79316"},"modified":"2023-03-22T00:37:51","modified_gmt":"2023-03-22T04:37:51","slug":"government-of-montserrat-director-of-energy-tc","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/carilec.org\/?post_type=job_listing&p=79316","title":{"rendered":"Government of Montserrat &#8211; Director of Energy (TC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><small>Infrastructure Services | Ministry of Communications, Works, Labour &amp; Energy<\/small><\/h2>\n<p>The Government of Montserrat is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of <strong>Director of Energy<\/strong>, within the Ministry of Communications, Works, Labour &amp; Energy.<\/p>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-md-10 col-md-offset-1 col-xs-12 col-xs-offset-0\">\n<p><strong>JOB PURPOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Director of Energy is responsible for developing and delivering a leading-edge Energy Strategy that will play a critical role in the achievement of key directives related to Montserrat\u2019s Energy transition. The successful applicant will provide leadership in the implementation of Energy related changes by reviewing the existing energy strategies and plans and overseeing the implementation of these in accordance with the applicable Laws of Montserrat, international best practices and the Government of Montserrat\u2019s Policy Agenda.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Director of Energy will be required to perform a range of specific duties, to include but not limited to the following:<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the activities related to Energy Conservation, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy for GoM;<\/li>\n<li>Explore options with respect to investments in Alternative Forms of Energy;<\/li>\n<li>Deliver the Energy Policy, Strategy and Action Plan;<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the Management of related projects;<\/li>\n<li>Conduct relevant research in the field;<\/li>\n<li>Develop the Energy Unit and its Work Programme;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PERSONNEL SPECIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The applicant must possess:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s Degree in Mechanical, Architectural, Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Renewable Energy, Energy and Environmental Management, or Business Management with a focus on energy planning at a systems level; or the equivalent in education and experience.
