The successful candidate will champion the Company\u2019s transition to a low-carbon, resilient energy future through solar, wind, and other emerging technologies, while ensuring the continued reliability and financial stability of the utility.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Functions, Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Chief Executive Officer will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and execute a strategic vision aligned with the Board\u2019s direction for a modern, sustainable, and innovative energy company.<\/li>\n<li>Lead the transition to renewable energy, including solar, wind, and water-based technologies, while ensuring the reliability and affordability of electricity supply.<\/li>\n<li>Promote research, innovation, and adoption of new technologies to enhance operational performance, grid resilience, and customer engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the planning, organization, and control of all company operations, ensuring adherence to efficiency, safety, and environmental standards.<\/li>\n<li>Drive the implementation of green energy initiatives, decarbonization targets, and sustainable development goals.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and manage annual and strategic business plans, budgets, and key performance indicators in accordance with Board-approved objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and adherence to local, regional and international energy standards.<\/li>\n<li>Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, regulators, investors, and community stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Represent the Company locally, regionally and internationally, promoting ANGLEC\u2019s interests and positioning it as a regional leader in renewable and resilient energy solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and develop strategic partnerships and business opportunities for growth and innovation.<\/li>\n<li>Provide accurate, timely, and strategic advice to the Board and effectively implement its decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen financial sustainability by optimizing resources, managing costs, and diversifying revenue streams.<\/li>\n<li>Champion customer-focused initiatives that enhance service reliability, satisfaction, and transparency.<\/li>\n<li>Lead organizational transformation and workforce development to build capacity in new and emerging energy technologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Master\u2019s degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) in Business Administration, Energy Management, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years\u2019 experience in a senior executive role; or<\/li>\n<li>A Bachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of seven (7) years\u2019 senior management experience in the electricity or broader energy sector.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience leading renewable energy initiatives, grid modernization projects, or sustainability programs will be considered a significant advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Regional or international exposure within the Caribbean energy or public utility sector will be an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Proof of qualifications and experience (notarized certificates and professional references) is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Competencies &amp; Attributes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to lead transformation and innovation within a utility or energy organization.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems, energy transition strategies, and environmental sustainability principles.<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional strategic planning, policy formulation, and execution capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Skilled in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and partnership building.<\/li>\n<li>Strong financial acumen with the ability to balance cost-effectiveness and long-term investment in green technologies.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with a Board of Directors, providing expert advice and implementing strategic directives.<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record in corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills.<\/li>\n<li>High level of integrity, resilience, and sound judgment under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to organizational excellence, innovation, and sustainable energy development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants are invited to submit their curriculum vitae, cover letter, and three (3) professional references under confidential cover to:<\/p>\n<p>ATTN: The Company Secretary<br \/>\nAnguilla Electricity Company Limited<br \/>\nP.O.
