This role is responsible for assessing the needs and requirements of both current and potential members, and other stakeholders, internal and external to the Association, and ensuring that these are fulfilled in keeping with the mandate and mission of the organization. The position is also responsible for the level and quality of stakeholder awareness and appreciation for CARILEC\u2019s role in the electric energy sector in the region.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> Vision\/Strategy Development and Execution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a. Lead the development, implementation and continuous review of communications and marketing plans and activities that are driven by stakeholder needs.<\/p>\n<p>b. Provide proactive communications, marketing, branding and stakeholder advice to the Executive Director, Management, and membership of CARILEC based on constant reviews of the environment.<\/p>\n<p>c. Develop and implement Communications, Marketing and Stakeholder Engagement Plans that aim to both broaden and deepen CARILEC\u2019s membership base and stakeholder relationships.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Innovation, Growth and Organisational Capacity <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a. Consistently research, identify and maximise opportunities for the development of solutions that meet or exceed member expectations.<\/p>\n<p>b. Build and sustain a CARILEC social media presence that increases stakeholder reach, engagement and satisfaction.<\/p>\n<p>c. Ensure appropriate physical assets, tools, and equipment (particularly ICT tools) are procured, managed, and utilised to improve human resource productivity and operational efficiency in the marketing and member service area.<\/p>\n<p>d. Develop and implement systems that ensure continuous year-on-year improvement in CARILEC\u2019s communications, marketing, branding, and member services performance.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Customer-Stakeholder Management <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a. Develop and implement strategies for improving stakeholder satisfaction year on year in all areas of CARILEC\u2019s mandate.<\/p>\n<p>b. Build and sustain value-adding relationships with key CARILEC stakeholders including the membership, potential membership, public sector agencies, regional and international supporting and partnering organizations, regulators, energy solutions researchers, and the media.<\/p>\n<p>c. Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing all aspects of CARILEC\u2019s annual conferences.<\/p>\n<p>d. Assist with the production of CARILEC\u2019s magazine, membership directory and electronic newsletter.<\/p>\n<p>e. Build and maintain CARILEC\u2019s website and social media presence.<\/p>\n<p>f. Develop and implement plans to increase networking opportunities for the membership.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Financial Stewardship <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a. Assist with the development of appropriate and fiscally responsible budgets for the department\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n<p>b. Comply with CARILEC\u2019s financial and procurement rules and policies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internal Business Processes <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a. Develop and implement internal processes for efficient and effective information collection and dissemination.<\/p>\n<p>b. Manage the processes for contracting and engagement of all outsourced media and other service providers with respect to operations of the Marketing &amp; Member Services Department.<\/p>\n<p>c. Work with the Energy Solutions Department to coordinate the publication and distribution of all CARILEC technical publications including White Papers, Benchmark Studies and Tariff Studies.<\/p>\n<p>d. Coordinate all in-session conference communication logistics including the preparation of conference material, participant packages, and all communications support on conference days.<\/p>\n<p>e. Coordinate and execute all major communication activities of the organisation on a day-to-day basis including:<\/p>\n<p>i.Press Releases\/Media interviews<\/p>\n<p>ii. Conference-related communiques<\/p>\n<p>iii. Social media content<\/p>\n<p>iv. Website content<\/p>\n<p>v.\u00a0 Newsletters<\/p>\n<p>vi. Copy writing<\/p>\n<p>vii. Webinar support<\/p>\n<p>viii. Crisis Communications<\/p>\n<p>ix. Presentations<\/p>\n<p>x. Editing<\/p>\n<p>xi. Research Projects<\/p>\n<p>f. Continuously review the efficacy of the business processes used for the marketing and communications activities related to CARILEC conferences and events.<\/p>\n<p>g. Provide oversight and coordinate activities under the CARILEC Disaster Assistance Programme.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Deliverables: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Consistent delivery of all strategic and operational Board and ED mandated targets.<\/li>\n<li>Increase the level of stakeholder satisfaction year on year.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A. Education \/Qualifications: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A Bachelor\u2019s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Corporate Communications. A Master\u2019s degree would be an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>B. Experience: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Minimum of three (3) years\u2019 experience in a Supervisory or Management capacity preferably in a similar type of organization.<\/li>\n<li>A proven track record of successfully leading the achievement of communications and marketing deliverables.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>C. Knowledge: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Knowledge of the Electric Energy Sector, including Renewable Energy, would be an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Specialised knowledge of Event Management is required.<\/li>\n<li>Specialised knowledge of Social Media Marketing and Branding is required.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>D. Skills: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on the preparation of marketing material.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent inter-personal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Detail-oriented.<\/li>\n<li>Strong negotiating and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced proficiency in a range of business applications software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>E.
