August 24, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

Several JPS customers have been impacted by the heavy rains and wind affecting sections of the island, which have resulted in washed out poles, broken conductors and other damage, leading to outages. \u00a0Crews have been working since last night, where it was safe to do so and will continue to work where the weather permits safe operations.<\/p>\n

The areas presently impacted by outages include: <\/strong><\/p>\n

In Kingston and St. Andrew<\/strong> \u2013 Pembroke Hall, Jacks Hill, Mona Road, Peters Rock, Belcor Lodge, Norbrook, Gordon Town, Boone Hall, Golden Spring, Harbour View and Deanery Road;<\/p>\n

In St. Catherine<\/strong> \u2013 Ham Walk, Constant Spring, Linstead, Bowers and Sandy Ground;<\/p>\n

In St. Thomas<\/strong> \u2013 Lloyds, Bethel Gap to Cedar Valley and sections of York to Penline Castle;<\/p>\n

In St. James<\/strong> \u2013 Norwood District, Top Lincoln, Grange Hill, Porto Bello, West Gate Hills; and<\/p>\n

In Westmoreland<\/strong> \u2013 West End in Negril.<\/p>\n
