{"id":81526,"date":"2023-05-15T11:23:48","date_gmt":"2023-05-15T15:23:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.carilec.org\/?p=81526"},"modified":"2023-05-15T11:23:48","modified_gmt":"2023-05-15T15:23:48","slug":"carilec-expands-into-executive-coaching-to-strengthen-regional-productivity-and-compassionate-leadership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carilec.org\/carilec-expands-into-executive-coaching-to-strengthen-regional-productivity-and-compassionate-leadership\/","title":{"rendered":"CARILEC Expands into Executive Coaching to Strengthen Regional Productivity and Compassionate Leadership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Castries, Saint Lucia, May 15<sup>th<\/sup>, 2023<\/strong>: The region\u2019s premier electric energy solutions provider, CARILEC, has launched a new learning and development program, as part of its suite of services.\u00a0 The <strong>Coaching and Leadership Virtual Symposium<\/strong> will provide attendees with information on coaching theories and practices impacting performance, leadership, and lifestyle.\u00a0 The symposium is targeted towards professionals who would like to improve their productivity and effectiveness in the workplace, are aspiring towards leadership positions in their respective organizations, or seeking to achieve personal goals which will enhance their quality of life.\u00a0 With certified coaches from the Caribbean and beyond, the Coaching and Leadership Virtual Symposium will cover critical subject areas such as \u2018<strong>The Science of Coaching<\/strong>\u2019, \u2018<strong>The Coaching Approach to Leadership<\/strong>\u2019, and \u2018<strong>The Positive Psychology of Coaching<\/strong>\u2019 to name a few.\u00a0 This event is free of charge and will be held from <strong>9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST<\/strong> on <strong>May 31<sup>st<\/sup>, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Coaching and Leadership Symposium will feature five (5) certified coaches originating from the Caribbean and international jurisdictions.\u00a0 CARILEC\u2019s very own Learning and Development Manager, Ms. Laurena Primus heads the speaker line-up having obtained her coaching credentials from the Coaching and Positive Psychology Institute in the United States.\u00a0 She is currently working towards attaining an International Coaching Federation (IFC) credential this year. Laurena has also been certified as a Social and Emotional Intelligence (SEI) Coach through The Institute of Social and Emotional Intelligence, an international learning and research organization.\u00a0 As an SEI Coach, she partners with professionals in mid-level leadership positions, so that they can boldly navigate the vagaries of the leadership landscape to attain leadership excellence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Laurena believes that while SEI cannot guarantee perfection; it does promise excellence over time, when combined with self-awareness and willpower.\u00a0 She goes on to say that \u201cCoaching is quite an effective tool in recognizing leadership talent and developing it to its full potential.\u00a0 It can assist in so many facets of one\u2019s life.\u00a0 Coaching greatly assists in creating a positive mindset shift in individuals and provides them with practical techniques to achieve success.\u00a0 The power of coaching is limitless and has transformed so many lives from the classroom to the boardroom and everywhere in between.\u00a0 CARILEC wants to bring this powerful resource to its members and industry professionals so that they can witness positive transformation in their personal and corporate lives. Lisa is also a speaker and writer who holds an MA in Literatures in English from the University of Alberta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also on the speaker line-up for this event is John Minyard who possesses over four (4) decades of experience in developing executive leadership and team building. Throughout his career, he has solved common organizational challenges such as setting goals and attaining them, developing clear and concise objectives, and formulating a strategic plan for maintaining accountability across a hierarchy. John was recognized as \u201cCoach of the Year\u201d among his peers due to his stellar leadership and coaching skills.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another prominent lifestyle coach on the event line-up is Asya Grigoryan, an ICF certified coach with four (4) years of experience in leadership and career coaching and 15 years of experience in talent and change management, organizational development, and business consulting.\u00a0 Asya speaks four (4) languages including English, French, Russian, and Armenian; and has partnered with more than 30 young leaders on enhancing their leadership skills, as well as with CEOs of small and medium companies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also slated to join the speaker line-up is Lisa Sansom, the owner of LVS Consulting, a Canadian-based boutique consulting firm that helps to build positive and effective organizations. Lisa shares positive psychology tools and techniques with her clients through speaking, corporate training, consulting, and coaching. Her clients come from a variety of industries including finance, education, technology, government, law, not-for-profit and health care.
