CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 15, 2024 —\u00a0<\/b>Honeywell has announced that Actrol will utilize Honeywell’s energy-efficient and low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant\u00a0<\/span>Solstice\u00ae L40X (R-455A)<\/a>\u00a0for their condensing units often found in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, and standalone equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n Honeywell\u2019s Solstice technology significantly reduces overall CO\u2082 emissions compared to traditional refrigerants. Actrol\u2019s integration of Honeywell\u2019s Solstice technology aligns with Australia\u2019s commitment to reduce carbon emissions from high-GWP refrigerants by 85% before 2036. Since its introduction in 2011, the use of Honeywell Solstice technology has helped avoid the potential release of the equivalent of more than 395 million metric tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
