Castries, August 15, 2024 – Mrs. Hester Hyacinth has been appointed the St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) Senior Manager – Finance & Accounts effective Monday, July 1, 2024.

Mrs Hyacinth is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and previously served as the company’s Management Accountant and then Financial Reporting Account.

She has an excellent record of performance during her more than 16-year tenure at LUCELEC including the 2022 Award for Supervisor of the Year Grades 7-9.

The LUCELEC Senior Manager – Finance & Accounts leads a team of 20 and manages the daily operations of the Finance and Accounting Department. This includes general accounting, payroll, treasury, financial reporting, procurement, and inventory management. She also plays a key role in developing and implementing policies and controls to improve the accuracy of reported financial results, ensuring compliance with accounting standards for LUCELEC and its subsidiaries.

Mrs Hyacinth succeeds Ms. Ziva Phillips who was appointed to the role of LUCELEC Chief Financial Officer on March 1, 2024.
