Applications are invited from suitably qualified Candidates to fill the position of DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER – BVI Electricity Corporation.

1. EXPERIENCE AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

The successful candidate should possess:
– A BEET, BEE, BSEE, BME, BSME or BMET degree from an accredited University or College in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
–  Qualifications in P.E or CENG and be a qualified professional Engineer.
– At least 10 years working experience in a similar capacity.
– At least 5 – 7 years experience in a managerial role.
– Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
– Proficiency in Microsoft office.

2. SALARY:
The entry level range is Grade 9 which is in the salary scale of $58,639.00 – $103,204.64 per annum. Salary will be determined commensurate with qualification and experience.

3. DUTIES:

1. Assisting the General Manager with the overall strategic planning for the Corporation.
2. Assisting with the formulation of policies that are in the best interest of both the Corporation and the general public.
3. Assisting the General Manager in the proper administration of the Corporation’s affairs.
4. Spearheads the review of all technical reports, plans and contracts presented to the Corporation.
5. Assisting with providing effective leadership and guidance to senior management and monitoring their performance.
6. Assisting with preparing sensitive documentation on matters pertaining to the Corporation’s business when necessary, including for press and public relations.
7. Assisting with overseeing the preparation of the Corporation’s annual budget and presenting the budget to the
Board for final approval.
