Vegetation Management Coordinator
Reporting to the Superintendent T&D Planning & Estimating, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
– Interacting with land owners/occupiers frequently to deliver notices to trim or remove trees, discuss obtaining access, power interruptions and scope of works;
– Exhibiting good customer service and resolve complaints and conflict situations; communicating the Company’s position with regards to vegetation management; developing and maintaining suitable vegetation management material for public education campaigns; consistently seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and customer service by adopting new methods and approaches;
– Maintaining accurate records of tree trimming requests, land owner notices and contractor bid documents using the Vegetation Management Log;
– Developing vegetation management reports to fulfill internal management, regulator and operational requests for past, current and future information;
– Developing and maintaining a standard training and competency requirement program;
– Inspecting works completed by contractors for compliance to utility specification such as quality inspections and worksite observations;
– Developing maintenance program with Partner’s Right Of Way (ROW) software for clearing distribution feeders.
Requirements:
Applicants should possess:
– A Degree or Diploma in Forestry or Horticulture preferred, or an Environmental related discipline;
– A minimum of 10 years work experience required in vegetation management as it relates to electrical distribution systems;
– Utility Arborist Certification from the International Society of Arboriculture or a certification from another similar Institution;
– Must have field experience as vegetation management crew member.
Salary:
– Salary is from US$5,043 to US$6,933 per month.
