Work Method Specialist

Reporting to the Manager, T&D Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

– Developing, implementing and maintaining work methods and procedures used in the construction and maintenance of the Distribution and Transmission Systems;

– Providing for formalized training to Line Supervisors and Linemen on work methods, equipment and aerial devices;

– Standardising of tools and equipment and providing major input into the standardising of aerial devices related to line operations and ensuring these tools are compatible for the respective connectors, etc.;

– Providing coaching and training to the apprentice lineman;

– Preparing written procedures for critical tasks performed by linemen as required.

 

Requirements:

Applicants should possess:

– Completion of Linemen’s Apprenticeship Program (at least 4 years) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Power Line technician trade;

– Demonstrated work leader experience in rubber glove 13kv techniques is required;

– Qualified in 13kv rubber glove techniques;

– Expert level knowledge of the operation of the underground and overhead systems.

 

Salary:

– Salary is from US $5,643 to $7,761 per month.
