PROTECTION PANEL PROCUREMENT FOR WASHINGTON BOULEVARD,

CANE RIVER, ROCKFORT, DUNCANS SUBSTATIONS PANEL REPLACEMENT PROJECT

INVITATION TO BID

The Jamaica Public Service Company Limited (JPS) is hereby inviting proposals from qualified bidders for the design, assembly and supply of protection and control panels for Washington Boulevard, Cane River and Rockfort substations located in Kingston & St. Andrew, Jamaica and Duncans substation in Duncans, Trelawny.

There are no restrictions on country of source and origin.

Eligible bidders will be required to submit full qualification information with their bids establishing their eligibility to bid and qualification to perform the contract if the bid is accepted.  Tender and qualification information are to be submitted in the English Language in accordance with the Request for Proposal document.  Submissions that do not provide the information required or that do not demonstrate the prospective contractor’s ability to perform satisfactorily, will not qualify and will not be considered for further evaluation.

The Request for Proposal document will be available at https://www.jpsco.com/request-a-proposal/ from September 8, 2025.

Only Electronic submissions will be accepted, using ShareFile by Citrix (details provided in the RFP document) and must be uploaded no later than October 9, 2025 at 11:59pm (Eastern Standard Time).  Bids will be opened privately on October 10, 2025.

Late bids will be rejected.

The Jamaica Public Service Company Limited (JPS), reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the process and reject all bids, at any time prior to award of contract, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected prospective bidder(s) or any obligation to inform the affected prospective bidder(s) of the grounds for JPS action. JPS will not defray any costs incurred by any bidder in the preparation of bids.
