Grenada Electricity Services Ltd. (GRENLEC) is seeking a Qualified Chartered Finance Professional to provide leadership within its Finance Department.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the incumbent will play a key leadership role in managing the Company’s financial operations, strengthening financial controls, supporting strategic decision-making, and leading a team of finance professionals in a dynamic utility environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop finance staff, fostering a high-performance and professional team culture.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Oversee financial controls, risk management frameworks, and compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support management and Board-level decision-making.
  • Support major capital projects, investment appraisals, and funding initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • ACCA qualification or equivalent (mandatory)
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ practical experience in a progressive and dynamic finance environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and financial analysis.
  • Experience within a utility, energy, or regulated environment will be a distinct asset.
