The Anguilla Electricity Company Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Diesel Mechanic in the Generation Department.

 

Main Functions, Duties & Responsibilities of the position include:

• Conduct visual inspections, checks and tests on engines, log required parameters and report any discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Carry out the removal, repair, replacement and overhaul of engine components and auxiliary equipment in accordance with existing maintenance schedules, standards, specifications, and procedures to ensure that maintenance targets are met.
• Conduct major engine overhauls for each engine or as otherwise dictated by maintenance requirements.
• Conduct diagnostic tests on engines and components to determine the causes of operational malfunction and recommend corrective measures.
• Execute and record all work order activity/actions in the maintenance software.
• Troubleshoot and rectify faults on the units and auxiliary equipment in accordance with approved standards, specifications, and procedures.
• Keep the Mechanical Workshop and equipment in a safe, clean, and tidy condition.
• Be responsible for the account and care of all material, tools, and specialized equipment.
• Adhere at all times to the safety procedures and practices as set out by the Company.
• Adhere at all times to the disciplinary guidelines and practices as set out by the Company.
• Maintain established codes of conduct to enhance the Company’s image and business profile.
• Perform other related duties as required by the job function.

 

Qualifications, Requirements & Experience:

• A technical certificate in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent accreditation
• At least one (1) year of experience in a similar or related job position
