Institute of the Motor Industry Certification Program
The Electric Vehicle Training offered by Green Solutions International SKN is certified by both the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) and TÜV (Technischer Überwachungsverein), making it one of the most comprehensive technical training programs suitable for the Caribbean.
IMI Certification: IMI has a network of carefully selected and approved training providers, ensuring that courses are suitable for auto technicians, fleet operators, and mechanics. The IMI pathway provides hands-on expertise for those working directly with electric and hybrid vehicles, focusing on maintenance, repair, and diagnostics.
TÜV Certification: TÜV is a globally recognized standard for engineering, safety compliance, and regulatory standards. This pathway is ideal for engineers, compliance officers, and safety professionals, ensuring that EV systems meet international safety and performance benchmarks.
With both IMI and TÜV certification options, our training caters to a wide range of professionals looking to work on EVs or ensure their compliance and safety.
LEVEL I
This beginner course will help develop the skills and knowledge required to work safely on Electric & Hybrid Vehicles. Delegates will learn about the Personal Protective Equipment, tools and general equipment required as well as the associated risks and hazards of working with DC High Voltage systems.
LEVEL II/III
Automotive technicians working on high voltage electrical systems should have the skills, knowledge and specialized training. This course combines Level 2 and Level 3 into one course where technicians learn the hazards surrounding EHV’s, preparing a vehicle to carry out repairs, completing repairs, and re-instating vehicle to fully operational condition.
LEVEL III
Automotive technicians working on high voltage electrical systems should have extensive knowledge and specialized training. In this course, you will learn the hazards surrounding EHV‘s, preparing a vehicle to carry out repairs and EHV vehicle system components and its operation/function.

Andy Latham
With a career spanning from a shop floor apprenticeship to After-Sales Manager in the retail motor industry, Andy Latham transitioned to Aviva as a Claims Engineer before advancing to Compliance Manager. He is a specialist in electric and hybrid vehicle technology and a globally recognized technical trainer, delivering cutting-edge training to a diverse range of companies and industries worldwide.
Andy is a fully qualified Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Master Technician, a Fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry (FIMI), and an Incorporated Engineer with the Engineering Council UK. He has been an invited speaker at numerous international events and has developed electric vehicle training programs for leading global certification organizations.
