Series Background

The Caribbean Electric Utilities Services Corporation (CARILEC) invites you to join the premiere of the 2020 Occupational Health and Safety Webinar Series. A number of issues have arisen as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic. It has affected organizations in much the same way that it has disrupted lives and livelihoods. Life has changed for people and organizations similarly. For example, people are adapting to multi-step sets of actions to activities that were once seen as simple and linear, such as going to the supermarket or eating out.

Likewise, organizations have seen their operations layered with more procedures, standards, policies and costs, all in an effort to protect lives and bring some form of assurance, hope and confidence to the workplace. These changes have implications for communication, supply chain, management, leadership, teamwork and of course performance. It is in the spirit of networking that CARILEC OSH Committee has agreed to delve deeper with dialogue, to share best practices and provide support to each other in these series of webinars.
