Work Environment: Plant Area

Corporate – Workspace is primarily in the Administrative Building

In Field – Workspace is primarily Off Site at various locations around the island

Plant Area- Workspace is primarily in the Power Plant Area

Hybrid – Workspace is a combination of in the Administrative Building and in the Field or in the Plant Area

Satellite- Workspace is at one of CUC’s satellite locations

 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • The supervision of the staff within the group along with the maintenance of all buildings, structures, plumbing systems, sanitary systems, storm water draining systems, yard, road ways, parking lots, landscaping fencing and all other common facilities within the plant, substations and offices within the approved budgetary constraints.
  • The supervision of maintenance for all fire safety systems, HVAC systems, departmental tools, etc.
  • The supervision of maintenance for all commercial level electrical and lighting systems.
  • The supervision of all Contractors who provide services to assist in the above functions.
  • The supervision of all piping and welding and metal fabrication services provided by the department.
  •  Ensuring that the company’s maintenance, health, safety, environmental, legal and other standards are maintained at all times.
  • Assisting with development and implementation of maintenance programmes for the group.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  •   A two (2) year Technician diploma in the Mechanical or Facilities Technology required or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred
  •   A minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience
  •  A minimum of five (5) years Supervisory training and experience
