Grenada Electricity Services Ltd (Grenlec) has spent over twenty years working on the GIS model of its electrical network, progressively adding layers and improving the quality of the data captured. In 2021, the model is a true digital twin of the electrical network, mapping Transmission and Distribution network assets and connectivity from the substation to the customer meter. The model is used to support Outage Management, engineering analysis, network maintenance and meter services.
