JAMAICA

The world is currently experiencing the fourth revolution and technology has taken over every aspect of
people’s lives. More recently, there has been an increase in the popularity and development of smart homes
worldwide. As technology becomes more affordable and convergent, smart homes are no longer considered
a luxury for the wealthy. This topic looks at the emergence of smart homes in Jamaica, today, and the general
benefits and the challenges that developers and homeowners face in developing smart homes.
