The Corporate Communications, Human
Resource & Customer Service Conference was
held at the Westin Dawn Beach Resort & Spa,
under the theme "Accountability. Transparency.
(ustomer Service "and co·hosted by NV GEBE. A
number of new initiatives were employed: (1) The
sourcing of a prominent Keynote Speaker; (2)
Restructuring of the sessions; and (3)
Incorporating a social event and promoting
engagement. The keynote speaker sourced was
Mrs. Henrietta Elizabeth Thompson, a former
elected parliamentarian and Minister of
Government of Barbados. She received a
standing ovation for her powerful speech made at
the event. The conference was weil organized and
informative as delegates got the chance to share
their experiences among their peers and the
utilities. Additionally, after revising the
sponsorship package we were able to attract two
silver sponsors trom international corporations.
