The Renewable Energy Conference & Trade·show was
held in Suriname and was co·hosted by N.V.
Energiebedrijven Suriname (NVEBS). The conference was
held at the Royal Torarica Hotel under the theme "Igniting
the UtilityTransition: RE·fueling Our Drive ta Sustainable
Energy." The tapies discussed include renewable energy
technology, the transition from conventional energy ta
renewable energy, energy storage and solar contribution,
ail of which were presented by knowledgeable and
well-respected professionals in their respective fields. On
the last day of the conference delegates were treated ta a
tour of the solar and hydro plant.

Although the number of delegates expected was lower
than previous years due ta the passing of Hurricane
Maria and Irma, delegates were quite contented with the
networking and social activities.
Post training was also scheduled on September 21 &
22nd, focusing on strategies for improving energy
efficiency, distributed generation and energy storage.
